Ingenium Design is Seeking a Driven Project Engineer/Project Manager

Ingenium Design is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects within the demanding mining and power generation sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of engineering projects, including scope definition, proposal writing, project execution, scheduling, budgeting, procurement assistance, construction and commissioning support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, clients, equipment suppliers, steel fabricators, steel detailers, procurement specialists and contractors.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans incorporating industry-specific best practices and safety standards.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with project design criteria.
- Present comprehensive project status updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
- Occasional travel to project sites for bid walks, project kickoffs, gathering information, laser scanning, etc. Travel is typically one day on site. MSHA surface training preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project engineering or project management within the mining or power generation industry (e.g., mineral processing, coal mining, cement, transloading).
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects involving heavy equipment, large-scale infrastructure, and potentially hazardous environments.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, SMACNA, ASHRAE, Industrial Ventilation, CEMA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, MS Project)
- Proficiency or ability to learn company software: REVIT, RECAP, Belt Analyst, Excel, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and overcome unexpected challenges.
- A commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safety protocols within the mining and power generation industry.
- A sense of humor: Because let’s be honest, most days you’ll need it.
